Product details
Description and details
The Longines ref. 6264 is a classic Swiss vintage watch with a hand-wound movement, dating back to 1955. The model combines a steel case, hesalite crystal, screw-down case back, brown leather strap, and the in-house Longines Calibre 12.68 movement.
This is an elegant timepiece from the era of classic mechanical watchmaking, characterized by a calm, timeless aesthetic. Thanks to its steel case and approximately 35mm diameter, it retains its vintage character while remaining comfortable and versatile for everyday wear.
Movement
At the heart of the watch is the Longines Calibre 12.68 - a mechanical hand-wound movement, produced by Longines and valued for its durability, simplicity, and high quality craftsmanship.
The movement features a small seconds function, also known as a sub-dial. This solution was characteristic of elegant watches from the first half of the 20th century and gives the dial a classic, proportionate appearance.
The Calibre 12.68 operates at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 41 hours of power reserve. The movement has a diameter of approximately 27.5 mm and a height of approximately 4.25 mm. Depending on the version, it came with either 15 or 17 jewels.
Case and Dial
The case is made of stainless steel and has a classic, round shape. The case diameter is approximately 35 mm without the crown, the width with the crown is approximately 37.5 mm, the thickness is approximately 9 mm, and the lug-to-lug measurement is approximately 38 mm.
The case proportions are typical for vintage watches from the 1950s. The watch maintains an elegant character, but thanks to its steel case and simple lines, it can also be worn daily.
The watch features a screw-down case back and hesalite/acrylic crystal, typical for historical watches. The crown on this particular piece is original but unsigned. The dial has a classic layout with a small seconds sub-dial.
Strap
The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap, 18 mm wide. The strap complements the steel case well and emphasizes the elegant, vintage character of the watch.
